Erika Rossi

Erika Rossi, born in Trieste in 1974, is an italian screenwriter and documentary director. From 2005 to 2012 she has been working as author and director for RAI TRE programmes, while starting directing her own documentary projects (Porrajmos, a forza di essere vento, Questioni di pelle, Navighiamo a vista).

In the last ten years she has been telling stories from her home territory, collaborating with different independent production houses based in Friuli Venezia Giulia, gaining experience of the international market. She has been selected for Eurodoc workshop in 2013 and for Archidoc workshop in 2014 (development workshop for archive based documentaries).

She has written and directed the following documentary films:
Trieste racconta Basaglia (Italy 2012) winner at Trieste Film Festival and selected in some international festival (Glasgow, Split and Buenos Aires).
Il viaggio di Marco Cavallo (Italy 2014) selected at Torino Film Festival, and winner of the Franco Rossano’s prize for best social documentary, in 2015 has also been screened in the Italian Senate.
Every soul of my body (Italy-Slovenia 2016) premiered at Visions du Rèel 2017, and it’s been developed within Eurodoc and Archidoc.
